NATIONAL LINE BETA
11 KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE
They are known as the “11 Knights of the Round Table”. Their names are African American Congressional Medal of Honor Recipients from the Vietnam War. These names represented the fight for freedom. On March 8, 1965 the first U.S. combat troops arrived in Vietnam which further coincides with March 8th which is the date in which they were inducted into Kappa Lambda Chi Military Fraternity Inc. These 11 men fought for the same reasons that the Medieval knights fought. The knights swore a Code of Chivalry, and NL Beta chose to do the same. This meant that they promised to uphold the rules given to them once they became a Knight of the Round Table and better yet a member of Kappa Lambda Chi.
